1. Find the song on YouTube.

   Search for it by title in the YouTube app, or on m.youtube.com in your phone's browser, and open the video.

2. Copy the link.

   In the Android or iOS app, tap Share and then Copy link. In a browser, copy what is in the address bar. Either one is fine, and the link does not have to be trimmed first.

3. Come back, paste it, press MP3 or MP4.

   The field reads the eleven-character video id out of the address you paste. Enter converts to MP3; Esc stops a run that is under way. The line under the buttons moves through checking video, extracting video, converting video and completed, and the download starts by itself at the end.

Nothing else is asked of you in between: no sign-up, no code to paste back, no second button to hunt for once the file is ready.

This is a converter, not an MP3Juice search engine

If you typed mp3juice download or mp3juice converter into a search box and expected a field that finds a song by its title, this page runs the other way round. Type a song title into the box above and the answer is That doesn’t look like a YouTube video link, because the box is reading for a video id rather than for words.

So the order is: find it on YouTube, copy the link, bring it here. There is no catalogue on this domain, nothing is held here for you to browse later, and no song title is indexed anywhere on it.

MP3 or MP4: what you actually get back

Both numbers describe the file this page hands back, and neither of them adds anything the upload did not already have: a quiet, narrow recording does not gain detail because a larger number is written next to it. What this page cannot do, stated plainly

• One video per link. The field takes a single video id; the next link goes in after the first file has arrived.
• No playlists and no albums. A playlist address is not a video address, and nothing here fetches a set of tracks in one go.
• No song-title search. The field reads addresses, not words, so there is nothing here to browse by name.
• No account. There is no sign-up form here and nothing to log in to.
• No app, no APK, no browser extension. This page runs in a browser tab and nowhere else — see what we found when we went looking for an app.
• No notification prompt and no advertising slot. Nothing on this page asks for permission to send you anything.
• One thing it does load: an analytics script from api.misjaprogramowanie.pl, our own subdomain, which counts the page view and reports it back there. The stylesheet, the page script and the logo are served from this domain, and the page is not built to fetch anything from anywhere else.

Links that work, and the ones that never will

The field reads an eleven-character video id out of the shapes YouTube hands out: youtu.be/<id>, youtube.com/watch?v=<id>, /shorts/<id>, /live/<id> and /embed/<id> — on youtube.com, m.youtube.com or music.youtube.com. Extra tracking parameters on the end make no difference, and a watch link that also carries a list= parameter still converts only the one video it points at.

Addresses with no video id in them never convert: a channel page, an @handle, a search results page, a playlist address on its own, or a link copied from another site that merely mentions the video.

When a download stops, and what the status line is telling you

The line under the buttons names the step it is on: checking video, extracting video, converting video, completed. If a run ends early you get one sentence instead — Conversion failed — Code: 2.502, for example. The first number is the step that stopped (1 signing in, 2 starting the job, 3 converting, 4 following progress) and the second is what came back from it.

A code of 429 means the rate limit: too many requests from one place in a short time. Wait a minute and send the link again. A video that is not open to everyone — taken down, or restricted where you are — ends the run with one of those codes instead of a file. If the run said completed and you cannot find the file: on an iPhone it is in Files → Downloads, and on Android in the Download folder, or in your browser's own downloads list.

Copyright: what is on you, and what we take down

A conversion does not change who owns the recording. Downloading a track you have no right to keep is your decision and your responsibility, and what you may do with a YouTube video is a matter between you and the people who published it. Your own recordings, material you hold the rights to, and works released under a licence that allows it are the straightforward cases.
